MRS. VIRGINIA E. WELSHANS - Mrs. Virginia E. Welshans, wife ofMr. Philip Welshans, 123 East Liberty street, died at 3 o'clockthis morning of the infirmities incident ot old age. Thoughill for five months she was bedfast but a week. She was aged79 years, 3 months and 27 days.
Besides her husband Mrs. Welshans is survived by fivestepchildren: F. K. Welshans, this city; Henry Davis Welshans,Cumberland; Mrs. Edward Cole, Jones Spring; Mrs. J. FordRandall, near Swan Pond; Mrs. J. D. Mowery, Four Mille Woods;Brothers Jacob M. Sprinkle, near Greensburg and Z. T. Sprinkle,New York; sisters, Mrs. Louis Grantham of Hale, Mo., and Mrs.J. T. Hopper, this city.
Mrs. Welshans was the daughter of Welcome E. Sprinkle and wasborn and reared near Greensburg. She spent her entire life inthis county, residing in this city for nearly three years past.She was a faithful member of the United Brethren church and wasa kind and good woman.
Funeral Saturday at 10:30 in the First U. B. church, conductedby Rev. Dr. W. F. Gruver, and interment in Green Hill,Cemetery, Berkeley Co, WVA.

OBITUARY
SPRINKLE - Mr. A.M. Sprinkle, one of the oldest residentsin the northern section of Martinsburg, died at his home onMoler avenue about 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mr. Sprinklehad been ill for some time, being a sufferer from heart troubleand Bright's disease.
He was 72 years of age. He has conducted a store on Moleravenue for thirty years or more, and well-known and highlyrespected.
Mrs. Sprinkle died about two years ago. Three children survive,Oscar and Leslie, of this city, and Mrs. Edward McDonald, ofDuffields.
The funeral will take place from St. Joseph's Catholic churchtoday.

CHARLES M. TAYLOR, 90, DIES AT HOME IN CITY
Charles M. Taylor, 90, a retired carpenter, died at his home,661 Springmill St., this morning following an illness of sixmonths.
Mr. Taylor was born in Berkley county, West Virginia, April 21,1862, and came to Crestline in 1879, then to Mansfield a shorttime later. He married the late Ida A. Boals, in Dec. 28,1882.
He was a foreman for the old Aultman-Taylor Co., for a number ofyears. Mr. Taylor was an active member of the MayflowerCongregational church for 52 years.
Surviving are two sons, Frank W. Taylor of Springfield, Mass.,and Floyd E. Taylor of Springfield township; five daughters,Mrs. Bertha Grandon, Mrs. Grace Casto, Mrs. Iva Bailet and Mrs.Irene Wentz, all of Mansfield, and Mrs. Cecil Watts ofWashington, D.C.; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.A daughter, Mrs. Jessie Penny and a son, Harold, diedpreviously.
Funeral services will be conducted at the MayflowerCongregational church at 3 p.m. Saturday by Rev. Arthur F.Lindbeck, pastor, and Rev.. Wellington Leininger, former churchpastor. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the J.H. Finefrock and Sons funeral homeuntil noon Saturday. Mr. Taylor will ben be taken to thechruch to lie in state until time for the services.
