Text: 2. William2 Fancher, (William1) was born in Branford, Conn., 20 Oct. 1728 and lived as late as 28 April 1808 when he conveyed land )vol. 2, p. 108, Bromw Co., N. Y., land records). He married, in Northbury (now plymouth) Conn., 5 April 1755, ELIZABETH LUDDENTON, daughter of William and Mary (Knoles) Luddenton, who died between 28 July 1796 and 28 April 1808, possibly in Windsor, Broone Co., N. Y. William2 is called a yeoman in Broome Co. land records. vol. show William to have been in service in 1757. He served in the Revolution in the company of Capt. Adonijah Burr, 9th regiment of Col. Increase Moselyey, a Connecticut regiment organized for two months service which was on duty on the Hudson River, near Peekskill, arriving in camp 18 July 1778. By the census of1800 indicates he was then living in the town of Chenango.
