Text:   164. Alexander Richard5 Fancher (Grey Bynum4, Richard 3, David2, Richard1), born in Coles Co., Ill., 22 April 1830, died 9 Sept. 1915. He married in Waco, Texas, 28 Nov. 1850 Mary Elizabeth Morrison, daughter of Samuel and Margaret Ann (Baugh) Morrison, born in Tishemingo County, Miss., 26 Feb. 1835 and died 24 Nov. 1921. Alexander went to Hill County, Texas, in 1850 and was one of the first settlers there, his carriage being the second in Waco. He was a landowner, county tax assessor in 1854 and County commissioner several terms. He was a Mason and Odd Fellow and served in the Civil War as lieutenant in Co. D. Bufford's 19th Regiment of Texas Cavalry.
