Text: 166. Erwin S.5 (Grey Bynum4, Richard3, David2, Richard1), born in Coles County, Ill., in 1838, died 7 Nov. 1913. He married Elizabeth West who was born 4 July 1850. and died 27 Jan. 1920. He was a veteran of the Confederate Army and served in the Indian engagements on the Texas border for two years and then in Louisiana for the remainder of the war. He was a farmer and stockman who moved from Illinois to Carroll County, Arkansas, about 1843 and to Hill County, Texas, about 1846.
